Small Business Management: Chapter 2 Ethical Issues Objective: Students will examine ethical issues facing individuals and corporation in today’s society.
Students will be able to:
Read their given section from the text. Students will create one slide in Google docs to create a class PowerPoint of the chapter.
Students will present their material and slide to the group.
Students will create a chart on the activboard of ethical issues faced by individuals and corporation.
Students will work in groups of 3; they will choose randomly an ethical issue from the "box". Students will be asked to create a video using www.goanimate.com or photostory 3 to illustrate the issue. Students will send their video via email or post to our class wiki (already created).
Students will complete an online survey using www.surveymonkey.com (already taught in previous chapter) on the video/presentation shown.
Unit Project for Marking Period:
Students will be given a true business case study on an ethical issue. Students will be asked to create a Prezi to deliver the case to the class. Rubric for the Prezi and oral presentation will be given. Students will sign up for a presentation date with teacher.
Closure: Student discussion on various examples of ethical issues. Teacher led Q & A on recent ethical/unethical business practices in the US.
Assessment: Rubric given to students. Survey completed online.
